Flying Aggies Place Third at Regional Competition

The Oklahoma State University Flying Aggies Flight Team placed third in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association SAFECON Region VI Competition, held in Salina, Kansas, Oct. 13-17. The 15-member team competed in air and ground competitions and secured a place in the national competition this May in Madison, Wisconsin.

(STILLWATER, Okla., November 2, 2018) – Oklahoma State University’s College of Human Sciences presented seven alumni awards during its 2018 Homecoming celebration on October 26. Kristin Atchley, Nellie Perry (posthumous) and Kristen Smith were presented with Distinguished Alumni Awards; Tim Gowin, Benjamin Houltberg and Samantha Johnson were honored as Rising Stars; and Rick Green was recognized as an Honorary Alumnus of the College of Human Sciences.

Tomko Wins First Place and People’s Choice at College 3MT Competition

Patrick Tomko, a doctoral student in health and human performance, won first place, the People’s Choice Award and a $600 cash prize at the College of Education, Health and Aviation’s Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition on Oct. 24.

Professor Emeritus Receives Prestigious Award

Christenson, professor emeritus of health education in the OSU College of Education, Health and Aviation, is the recipient of the 2018 Honor Award, the most prestigious award presented by the Oklahoma Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (OAHPRED).
