Three win OSU President’s Fellows Award for research projects

Three Oklahoma State University professors were recently named 2019 President’s Fellows Faculty Research Award recipients. Drs. Sheri Vasinda, Amy Payton, and Joshua Ramsey each received $20,000 for their proposals.

CEAT Student Services Advisors win Best of State

Kristal Soderstrom Junkens and Sarah Ayres, College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology Student Services Advisors, won the Best of State designation for their presentations during the Oklahoma Academic Advising Association (OACADA) Fall Conference in October 2018. This honor allows the two to present at the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) Region Seven Conference in San Antonio, Texas in March 2019.

Andrea Haken selected as reviewer of master certification

She will be serving as an application reviewer for those applying for the Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS) credential, which she attained in July 2018.

Industrial Assessment Center at Oklahoma State University celebrates 1,000th Industrial Assessment milestone

On Dec. 4, 2018, OSU celebrated its 1,000th industrial assessment/energy audit milestone performed by OSU’s Industrial Assessment Center (IAC). IAC team members, acting and retired faculty, OSU administrators, officials from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Rutgers University, and Wichita State University gathered at CEAT’s newest undergraduate laboratory, ENDEAVOR, to celebrate. The industrial assessment/energy audit was performed the following day at ASCO Aerospace.

Wu named Outstanding Emerging Scholar

The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has elected Behrokh Khoshnevis, Oklahoma State University alumnus in industrial engineering and management (IEM), as one of 86 new members. The newly elected class will be inducted during a ceremony at the NAE's annual meeting in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 6, 2019.

CEAT highlights Jesse Langston in honor of Black History Month

Jesse Langston graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1985, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Langston came to OSU with a scholarship intended for minorities in the engineering field. In the 1980s, it was difficult for minority students to get into the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math industry. This scholarship program recruited and retained Oklahoma talent in minority groups to become successful in their future engineering careers.
