Three College of Human Sciences students selected as OSU Seniors of Significance

Three College of Human Sciences students, all pursuing degrees in nutritional sciences, have been selected as Oklahoma State University Seniors of Significance for the 2019-2020 academic year by the OSU Alumni Association. The Seniors of Significance Award recognizes students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to campus and community and have brought distinction to OSU.

Laurie Thompson wins college 3MT competition

The breadth of research and creativity in the College of Education, Health and Aviation and the College of Human Sciences was on display at the 2019 3MT (Three-Minute Thesis) competition on October 21. Four graduate students walked away with a cash prize, including winner Laurie Thompson, a master’s student in nutritional sciences.

NSCI graduate named 40 Under 40

Oklahoma State University alumna Claire (Grady) Gish, a two-time graduate of the Department of Nutritional Sciences in the College of Human Sciences, has been recognized as one of Oklahoma Magazine’s 40 Under 40. Gish graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences: dietetics in 2009 and a master’s degree in the same field in 2011.

The Oklahoma State University College of Human Sciences has recognized eight students as 2019 Seniors of Distinction, the highest honor given to graduating seniors by the college. Faculty in each of four academic units in the College of Human Sciences – the Department of Design, Housing and Merchandising; the Department of Human Development and Family Science; the Department of Nutritional Sciences; and the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management – selected two Seniors of Distinction for their respective units.
