A group of chemical engineering students from Oklahoma State University recently went on an educational field trip to Zeeco, a global leader in combustion and environmental solutions in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Fabsco, leading designers and manufacturers of shell and tube heat exchangers in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

CEAT professors researching solar-powered desalination technology for oil and gas industry

Researchers in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology are beginning a three-year project to develop advanced solar-powered desalination technology to treat produced water from the oil and gas industry. Negative aspects of produced water are that it can include things like oil, grease and salts. It can also contain dissolved gases and radioactive materials.
