OSU Center for Health Sciences and its College of Osteopathic Medicine was recognized by the American Osteopathic Association with the 2021 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Unification Award. This is the first year AOA has presented the DEI Unification Award.

Last year, STATE magazine ran an article about the new OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation. Smith, a 1954 and 1957 Oklahoma State University graduate from Okeene, Oklahoma, read about the new program and learned how the facility was donated by the Cherokee Nation.

OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and Physician Assistant students, along with faculty and staff, recognized those who donated their bodies to the medical school at a Body Donor Honoring Ceremony Monday evening.
