Oklahoma State University lost a member of its Cowboy family over the weekend with the death of prominent Oklahoma artist Benjamin Harjo Jr. Referred to by many as the “Picasso of Native American art,” Harjo died on Saturday at the age of 77.

Blankenship, Bray named OSU-COM deans

During its regular meeting Sept. 9, the OSU A&M Board of Regents approved the removal of the interim title for the deans of the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and OSU-COM at the Cherokee Nation. Dr. Dennis Blankenship is now dean of OSU-COM and Dr. Natasha Bray is now dean of OSU-COM at the Cherokee Nation. Both had served as interim deans since June 2021.

He also serves as the graduate student representative on the OSU-CHS Alumni Board, vice president of the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Student Association and national liaison for the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science.
