Atkinson is the current president of the OSU Alumni Association, and has served as the organization’s leader since October 2018, after four months as its interim president.

Southwood Landscape and Garden Center is making a $25,000 donation toward Oklahoma State University’s new Greenhouse Learning Center. Combined with a gift of $25,000 from co-founder Joe Schulte, the $50,000 total gift will contribute to the learning center’s state-of-the-art nursery, which will be named the Southwood Landscape & Nursery Prep Area.

The music junior sometimes encounters unexpected challenges working toward her goal of becoming a music teacher. Women for OSU recognized Peggy Helmerich as the 2019 Philanthropist of the Year and honored 10 student scholars at its 11th annual symposium. The event drew more than 500 people and focused on the theme of “presence,” featuring New York Times best-selling author Amy Cuddy as the keynote speaker.
