In 2019, the Management Department at the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University was ranked 12th in the nation for publishing in top-tier management journals. The TAMUGA rankings (a joint effort by Texas A&M University and the University of Georgia) placed the productivity of the department's researchers at the top of the Big 12 Conference.

Students claim $45,000 in prize money in Riata Business Plan Competition

Semi-finalists in the annual student Riata Business Plan Competition have been selected to compete Friday, Jan. 31, for $45,000 in prize money in the competition’s finals. Hosted by the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship and the School of Entrepreneurship in the Spears School of Business, the competition promotes entrepreneurship and small-business development by focusing on student created, managed and owned ventures.

Spears Business alum Michael Guillory reflects on balancing passion and career

Bartlesville native Michael Guillory graduated in 1988 with a marketing degree. As a student, he was heavily involved. He was a member of the OSU marching band, OSU Wind Ensemble, Sigma Phi Epsilon, American Marketing Association as well as Spring Sing, Freshman Follies, local church charities, and intermural sports.

The three Oklahoma State University business graduates include Linda Parrack Livingstone, president of Baylor University, the late Neal L. Patterson, co-founder of Cerner Corporation, and Bruce T. Benbrook, chairman and CEO of Stock Exchange Bank.
